Another thrilling encounter counted after the match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals. On the ninth match of the league, both the teams locked horns with each other at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The RR batters played the team game. But Riyan Parag’s outstanding innings made a big impact on the Orange Cap list.
Riyan’s Outstanding Batting:
After winning the toss, Delhi Capitals opted to bowl first. But while batting in the first innings, Rajasthan Royals lost the early wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler. After that, Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag tried to make an impactful partnership. But Sajnu Samson walked away after scoring 15 runs in 14 balls.
After all these, Riyan stood tall. In a stunning display of batting prowess, Riyan Parag delivered a spectacular performance for Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Delhi Capitals (DC). Parag’s explosive innings saw him smashing veteran South African pacer Anrich Nortje for 25 runs in the final over, propelling his team to a formidable total of 185/5 from their allotted 20 overs. This remarkable feat marked Parag’s highest T20 score, as he showcased his ability to find boundaries with ease, hitting seven fours and six sixes during his innings.
Additionally, Parag forged crucial partnerships throughout his innings, sharing significant stands of 54 runs with Ravichandran Ashwin and 52 runs with Dhruv Jurel. His ability to accelerate the scoring rate, particularly in the final over, proved pivotal in RR’s quest for a competitive total against DC.
