Indian Premier League 2024 Orange Cap: Updated After Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals Match No. 50

The IPL 2024 has touched the milestone of the 50th match of the tournament. In the 50th match of the tournament has seen a nail-biting match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. The match got more intense as fans witnessed some thrilling batting performances. Those effective batting masterclasses made a few changes in the Orange Cap table. 

Hyderabad’s Remarkable Batting Display:

In this year’s IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad has showcased their remarkable batting performances. Initially in the match, they won the toss and opted to bat first. But while batting first, they faced setbacks. Within the 6th over, they lost two wickets in 35 runs. Abhishek Sharma was dismissed on 12 runs and Anmolpreet Singh walked away after scoring 5 runs only. 

But soon, Hyderabad survived the setback as opener Travis Head and Nitish Kumar Reddy made an exceptional partnership. Head played a knock of 58 runs. After his dismissal, Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen made another impactful partnership. Nitish played an unbeaten knock of 76 runs and Klaasen remained unbeaten on 42 runs in just 19 balls. After 20 overs, they scored 201/3. 

Rajasthan’s Amazing Display But Hardluck:

While batting in the second innings, Rajasthan Royals faced some early setbacks. While opening the innings, Jos Buttler walked away on a golden duck. After that, Sanju Samson also departed on a duck. But youngsters Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag showcased amazing displays. Their impactful partnership boosted their innings.

After Sanju and Buttler’s dismissal, Jaiswal and Parag held their inning. Jaiswal walked away after scoring 67 runs in 40 balls. Riyan Parag was outstanding. He played an impactful knock of 77 runs in 49 balls. Shimron Hetmyer scored 13 runs and Powell added 27 runs in 15 balls. Despite their classy effort, they faced a narrow defeat of 1 run.
