Indian Skipper and legendary Batsman Rohit Gurunath Sharma has showcased his batting prowess continuously since he first held the bat. Rohit Sharma succeeded Virat Kohli and was appointed as the captain of Indian Cricket Team in February, 2022. The 36- year old batter pulled the Indian jersey for the first time in 2007 while making his international debut against Ireland in Belfast.

India’s current Skipper Rohit Sharma is widely regarded as the Sixer King of India. With a massive number of 545 sixes in 448 international matches, he is known as the official six machine of Indian CricketCricket across all the three formats.
A look at all the formats
If we talk about T20 Internationals, Rohit Sharma has played a total of 148 matches till now, boasting a record of 182 sixes in the T20I format. Hitting a six in the T20I format stands as the minimum requirement for any batsman making it entertaining and a thriller for fans to watch. Rohit has undoubtedly proved his potential in this regard by becoming the first player to have most sixes in T20I format.
In the One Day International format, having played a total of sixes248 matches, Rohit has hit 286 sixes. While claiming the third position in the list, Rohit is considered to be the most prolific six-hitter in this format. He is preceded by Shahid Afridi and Chris Gayle who have hit 351 and 331 sixes respectively.
Now comes the thirst format which is Test Cricket. Unfortunately, Rohit Sharma failed to register himself among the top 10 players to have most sixes across the Test cricket format. England’s Ben Stokes tops the chart in this category for having most number of sixes i.e 124.
