Mumbai Indians are playing like a true defending champion against Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing IPL match today. Jos Buttler was giving some hope to the Royals fans, but yet another stunner by Kieron Pollard ensured to end it.
A sub changes the game
After three quick dismissals when Jos Buttler and Mahimal Lomor were trying to bring their side back in the game two catches did change things completely. At first an unbelievable catch from Anukul Roy who was in the middle in place of Suryakumar Yadav, and then another unbelievable pouch by Kieron Pollard.
During the 9th over of the Rajasthan Royals innings, Mahipal Lomror went for a big hit and caught by Anukul Roy, a sub. The fact that made the catch unreal that Anukul Roy ran backward from the extra cover, sprinted to his left, and dived to take the catch. The partnership was broken at the initial stage by someone who was not even playing the match as the first eleven-member. Lomror was gone for just 11 runs off 13 balls.
UNBELIEVABLE ATTEMPT BY POLLARD
But the Royals had their last hope still in the middle with Buttler batting like a lone warrior.
In the 14th over of the Rajasthan Royals innings, Jos Buttler who was all set to destroy the match for Mumbai Indians went for a big one. Buttler went for a boundary over long-run off a James Pattinson delivery and Pollard was seen running towards his left. Pollard with one hand tried to get the ball, he missed it in the first attempt but was quick enough to grab it in the second one. He had to leap up to reach the ball and probably without having a fair idea of the boundary, he managed to get safely. Jos Buttler who was batting on 70 off 44 balls after coming back to form had to leave the ground along with the last hope of Rajasthan Royals.
