The David Warner-led side after losing against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders went on to record two consecutive wins over Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. Today SRH is facing the defending champions Mumbai Indians at Sharjah. Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose to bat first. With heavy hitters in the line-up, Mumbai Indians are expected to score a massive target for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Moreover, the Sharjah ground is relatively smaller which can be a perfect platform for players like Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard.

Rohit Sharma told after winning the toss, “We will bat first. It has been our strength so we are going to back that. It is a good pitch and as long as you play good cricket, the toss doesn’t really matter.” He added, “We know it is a small ground but it also gives the bowlers an opportunity knowing that the batsmen are going to come after them. We are playing the same team.”

Sunrisers Hyderabad, in such scenario, is going to miss the service of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He was seen injuring himself in the last stage of the Chennai Super Kings innings. He could not complete the 19th over and Khaleel Ahmed was brought in to bowl the remaining five balls of the over. Sandeep Sharma has been added to the playing of Sunrisers Hyderabad in place of Kumar. Khaleel Ahmed has been also replaced by Siddarth Kaul.

Warner said after the toss, “I think Bhuvi is a big loss for us. It is about making sure the bowlers are communicating and bowling in partnerships again. We have to do that well here today. I was always confident in those guys (youngsters) and we were fortunate that they had some time in the middle. It is always challenging for these youngsters to come in with 3-4 overs to go and there are a lot of people criticizing them. Sandeep Sharma comes in, Khaleel is out as well and one another change.”
