And the Nostradamus Jofra Archer does it again! As soon he produced a quickfire against Chennai Super Kings in the fourth IPL 2020 match, a previous tweet of Archer started floating on the social media. Guess what, Archer did predict this way back in 2014 and 2015!
RR fiesta begin
Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first in their second IPL 2020 in UAE. The fixture is the opening IPL 2020 match for Steve Smith led Rajasthan Royals. The Royals who were without their two best overseas players, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes started struggling with the middle order. Once debutant opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was gone within the third over of RR innings, Steve Smith and Sanju Samson shared the responsibility of building the innings. Sanju Samson after a fine 32-ball 74 was dismissed in the 12th over with the skipper still holding onto one end. Smith was sent back to the pavilion by Sam Curran in the second last over of the innings when the Royals were 178/7.
Archer innings and his tweets
Archer joined Tom Curran in the middle and what happened next was nothing short of a blast. In the last over he hit Lungi Ngidi for four consecutive maximums and the last two of them were called no-ball. It was followed by a wide and three more runs. Archer who was on 1 at the beginning of 20th over, walked out for 27* off just eight balls at the end of the innings. Ngidi was devastated but the tail-enders added 30 runs off the last six deliveries for the Royals.
Jofra Archer’s tweets often amaze netizens and he is famous for his prediction among the social media users. Today two tweets went viral after the Archer innings that read “6666” and “30 an over?” It looks like the great Archer saw this coming a few years ago.
