The auction for IPL 2020 is scheduled for mid-December in Kolkata. While franchises are busy in strategizing let’s have a look at the wrong releases done by each franchise a couple of weeks back.
David Willey – Chennai Super Kings
David Willey did not have a great season with Chennai Super Kings last time. But the all-rounder can pitch a perfect inswinger with new ball hence could have been a great option to go along with Deepak Chahar. His hard-hitting ability can also be utilized if sent at the top order earlier.
Chris Morris – Delhi Capitals
Why did Delhi release Chris Morris? The answer is still unknown. With 13 wickets in nine games in the last season, he was the go-to bowler for Delhi Capitals. His good pace combined with his ability to bowl yorkers in death overs makes him useful. Moreover, he can be a good batting option down the order too.
