IPL 2021: CSK Confident About This Edition of Indian Premier League

On Thursday Chennai Super Kings travelled to Mumbai for IPL 2021 preparation. They will continue with their pre IPL preparation in Mumbai for the upcoming IPL season.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni led team began their training for IPL 2021 at the M A Chidambaram stadium on March 8. They continued till Wednesday before traveling to Mumbai on Thursday. The team will be based in Mumbai for a month according to a press release. Chennai Super Kings pre-season camp involved their available players at Cheap along with MS Dhoni.

Speaking on the same, CSK chief executive officer KS Viswanathan said, “The players felt the fortnight-long camp was very beneficial. We also had four or five days of open nets.” He continued, “After the previous season, Dhoni told us that he’d reach Chennai in March to prepare for the 2021 edition. True to his word, he was here.”

Confident About IPL 2021

While speaking about the IPL 2021 campaign for Chennai Super Kings, the CEO said that the franchise is confident to do well this season. “We are very confident that the team will do well this season given the kind of replacements that we’ve got and the preparations so far.” This year the Chennai side got six new cricketers on board at the IPL 2021 auction in February. Off-spin bowling all-rounders Moeen Ali, Krishnappa Gowtham are a few including Robin Uthappa, the veteran batsman who was traded to the side from Rajasthan Royals.

On April 9, the 14the edition of Indian Premier League will kick off. The five matches of the side are scheduled to be played in Mumbai. They will play Delhi Capitals on April 10 as their series opener. After Mumbai, they will travel to Delhi, Bangalore, and Kolkata for other league matches. As informed by the BCCI earlier, all matches in IPL 14 will be played at neutral venues, with the playoffs and final scheduled to be hosted in Ahmedabad between May 25 and 30.
