The Indian Premier League 2024 preparations are in full swing starting from March to May with 10 teams contesting against each other. All the franchises have already announced their list of all the retained players and released players ahead of the mega auction to be held on December 19. For the first time, an IPL auction will be held outside India, in Dubai in the Coca-Cola arena. Teams are all geared up with their available purses for the mega auction to rope in potential players.Â
A lot of potential players have been released by this team by a number of franchises with Gujarat Titans former skipper Hardik Pandya moving back to his home team Mumbai Indians in an all-cash trade. Pandya who led Titans to victory in the 2022 season, is all set to move back to his MIPaltan. The auction on December 19 is scheduled for 2:30 PM IST.
Number of team players
In the mega auction to be held in Dubai, a total of 333 players will be taking part in the auction out of which 214 will be Indians. Rest of the players are overseas players whose count is 119. Two of the players are from the associate nations. Out of these players, 116 are capped while 215 players are uncapped.

After the ODI World Cup, fans love to watch IPL and, in that effect, bid for their favorite teams. The IPL first started in the year 2008 in which Rajasthan Royals emerged victorious. Fans anticipate seeing the mega tournament take place all over India among 10 teams across 10 states. The last season was won by Chennai Super Kings who have IPL champions for five times. Another team who emerged as champions for 5 times is Mumbai Indians.
