Irfan Pathan wishes Indian National Cricket team Caption to beat Tendulkar
Sachin Tendulkar’s 100 international hundred is one such feat that no cricket will be targeting easily to break. It does not just take a long career but it needs a huge level of talent and dedication to be able to register such an extraordinary record. Irfan Pathan, former Indian pacer on Star Sports’ Cricket Connected show said that he wants an Indian to break it. He further added that Virat Kohli has it in him to record such achievement before retiring from international cricket.
“I always wish if anyone breaks the record he has to be an Indian and Virat has the ability and fitness, which is the most important thing to be able to achieve that feat. I think he is 30 short of that 100 hundreds, I think he will be able to achieve it before he retires and I hope so and that’s the target he will have in his mind.”

Pathan believes in Virat Kohli
Irfan Pathan was a member of the Indian side when Sachin Tendulkar scored his 100th international hundred. Pathan opined that the current captain of the Indian National Cricket team Virat Kohli might not be talking about it but only he can be the next one to record the feat as he (Virat Kohli) has already done so much in limited time. “I am sure 100 hundreds, he might not be talking about it but you know if anyone could achieve that feat, after Sachin Tendulkar he is the one. You know he has achieved so much with such little time and I hope if anyone breaks the records of 100 hundreds because I was part of Sachin’s journey when he scored that last hundred as well.”

Virat Kohli with 70 international (43 in ODIs and 27 in Tests) hundreds to his name has recently completed 12 years in international cricket at the age of 31. If his fitness and form allow him to continue, he has at least seven years of cricket career ahead of him which should be enough to break Tendulkar’s record.
