Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan recently indulged in a sumptuous feast at the residence of popular singer Adnan Sami, expressing his enthusiasm for the delightful culinary experience. The event took place on August 11, 2024, and Pathan shared his experience with fans on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Pathan posted a video showcasing the elaborate dinner spread, which featured a variety of non-vegetarian delicacies. He captioned the post, “Yummiest food and mind blowing conversations. This is the Norm at @adnansamiworld @royasamikhan.” The feast included traditional dishes such as Paya, Haleem, Seekh Kebab, and Kadhai Gosht, highlighting the rich flavors of the cuisine.
Pathan has often praised Sami’s hospitality, stating, “I always look forward to having a meal at Sami’s house.” Their friendship is well-known, and it was evident during this gathering, where the two engaged in enjoyable conversations over the delicious food.
The former cricketer also reflected on his bond with Sami, recalling a previous occasion when Sami visited his home during the 2023 ODI World Cup. Pathan had hosted the Afghanistan cricket team for dinner, and Sami’s presence added to the occasion’s warmth. Pathan remarked, “It’s always great to share meals with friends who appreciate good food.”
In addition to his culinary adventures, Pathan recently commented on the disqualification of Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat from the finals at the Paris Olympics 2024. Phogat had made history by becoming the first Indian female wrestler to qualify for an Olympics final but was disqualified for being slightly overweight. Pathan expressed his support for her, saying, “As a sportsman, I can totally empathize with what @Phogat_Vinesh must be feeling right now. I hope she stays strong.”
Irfan Pathan announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in January 2020, finishing his international career with impressive statistics—120 ODIs, 29 Tests, and 24 T20Is, accumulating 301 wickets and 2,821 runs across formats. Despite his retirement, Pathan remains active in the cricketing world, participating in T20 leagues featuring retired cricketers. He recently played for the India Champions in their successful World Championship of Legends 2024 campaign.
