Looking Ahead to New Opportunities

Ishan Kishan will represent Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025 after being sold for ₹11.25 crore. This is a 26% pay cut from the ₹15.25 crore he earned with Mumbai Indians in 2022. Mumbai Indians started bidding at ₹2 crore but stopped at ₹3.20 crore during the auction. Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings engaged in a bidding war, but SRH joined late and secured him.

Kishan, known for his explosive batting, was with Mumbai Indians since the 2016 IPL season. He had his best IPL season in 2020, scoring 516 runs at an average of 57.33. Recently, he lost his place in India’s national team and central contract after a form slump. However, he worked hard in domestic cricket and represented India A against Australia A in recent matches.

Mumbai Indians retained Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, and Tilak Varma instead of Kishan. Sunrisers Hyderabad hopes his addition will strengthen their batting lineup for the upcoming season
