Ishan Kishan made a surprising appearance for India C in the Duleep Trophy second-round match against India B at Rural Development Trust Stadium B in Anantapur. He missed the first round of matches due to a groin injury sustained while playing in the Buchi Babu tournament. Initially named in the India D squad, Kishan was replaced by Sanju Samson after his injury kept him out of the initial games.
Despite the setback, Kishan made a strong comeback. When India C lost a few early wickets, Kishan stepped up to the challenge. He scored a remarkable century, contributing significantly to the team’s efforts. His innings of 111 runs off 126 balls featured 14 fours and 3 sixes, maintaining an impressive strike rate of 88.1.

India C is Going Well:
While batting first, India C faced a setback as skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad went back on retired hurt. After that unfortunate moment unfold, Sai Sudharsan and Rajat Patidar were going well. But the opening partnership ended on 96 runs as Patidar was dismissed scoring 40 runs in 67 deliveries. Sudharsan was dismissed scoring 43 runs.
After that, Ishan Kishan’s century was a big boost to the team. Baba Indrajith’s innings was another big asset for the team. He scored a dazzling half-century and played a knock of 78 runs in 136 deliveries with 9 boundaries. Another youngster Abhishek Porel was dismissed on 12 runs. Depending on those thrilling knocks, India C ended the day 1 of the four day match scoring 357/5.
