Jadeja enters record books for completing a landmark of 200 ODI wickets

Indian All-rounder Ravinder Jadeja has taken his name forward by registering a total of 200 ODI wickets in cricket history. India’s star Jadeja achieved this mark by scalping Bangladesh’s left-armer Shamim Hossain.

In their ongoing last Super 4 clash of the Asia Cup, India has set up new records. Jadeja notably smashed Shamim’s wicket 1/53 for 10 overs.

Becomes 7th in the list

Ravinder Jadeja now comes on the 7th spot of the bowlers list who have smashed more than 200 ODI wickets. He has joined the likes of Anil Kumble, Javal Shreenath, Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh and Kapil Dev.

This was Jadeja’s 175th innings where he became the only second Indian bowler after 1983 World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev in One Day Internationals format.

34-year old Jadeja holds seven four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket hauls, as of now. His five wicket haul was for 5/36 when India faced West Indies during the ICC Champions Trophy, in 2013.

The top bowler having the most no. of ODI wickets

Among the list, leg spinner Anil Kumble rules the chart for scoring 334 wickets in 269 games. He is followed by Javagal Shreenath who has registered a total of 315 wickets in 229 games.

Ongoing clash with Bangladesh

The Bengal Tigers chased a target of 265/2 for India. The face off between Bangladesh and India at R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium is going to be a chiller for the fans.
India is already 4 wickets down and it is yet to see which team emerge as winners in today’s match.
