An Air India special charter flight, dubbed AIC24WC – Air India Champions 24 World Cup, is set to bring back the Indian team, support staff, players’ families, board officials, and Indian media. They have been stranded on the island for three days due to Hurricane Beryl. This effort ensures the safe return of everyone affected by the hurricane.

The group had planned to depart from Bridgetown at 6 pm (local time) and arrive in Delhi on Wednesday at 7:45 pm (IST). However, Sports Tak reports that the Indian team is now projected to reach New Delhi by 5 am on Thursday. This change in schedule reflects the latest travel updates for the team and accompanying personnel, who have been adjusting their plans due to the unexpected delay. Before flying back home, BCCI posted a video of the trophy and captioned it, “ It’s coming home.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to honor the players with a special felicitation ceremony. However, the specifics of the event, including the date and time, are yet to be finalized. The details will be confirmed soon, and the celebration will take place accordingly.
