On Sunday evening, ICC Chairman and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah visited the renowned Tirumala Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh to offer his prayers to Lord Venkateswara Swamy. This visit not only highlights his spiritual connection but also emphasizes the cultural significance of the temple, which attracts numerous devotees. Shah’s gesture reflects a deep reverence for tradition and showcases his commitment to honoring the heritage associated with one of India’s most revered religious sites.
Jay Shah Visited the Tirumala Tirupati Temple:
Clad in traditional attire, Jay Shah expressed his devotion by seeking the blessings of the deity during his visit to the Tirumala temple. In recognition of his visit, temple officials honored him, while priests and representatives from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams presented him with Vedasirvachanam and the sacred Teertha prasadams at the Ranganayakula mandapam, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of the occasion.
After completing his darshan of Lord Venkateswara, Shah emerged from the temple to a crowd of eager devotees. Many of them clamored for selfies with him, eager to capture a moment with the ICC chairman as he left the revered site.
Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the temple holds great significance. It is believed that Lord Vishnu took this form to assist humanity in overcoming the challenges posed by the Kali Yuga, symbolizing hope and divine intervention during difficult times. The temple serves as a spiritual refuge for countless devotees seeking solace and blessings.
Jay Shah Shared His View on New NCA:
Earlier that day, Jay Shah unveiled the newly established National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, now referred to as the BCCI Centre of Excellence. This modern facility is designed to foster cricket’s future by emphasizing advancements in sports science and offering well-rounded training programs for athletes, ensuring they receive the best support to enhance their performance.
He said, “ The inauguration of the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru marks a significant milestone in our journey to elevate Indian cricket to new heights. This world-class facility, built with cutting-edge infrastructure, reflects our unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of cricketers and advancing sports science. It is not only a hub for comprehensive training and performance development in Cricket but also a facility that will contribute to the growth of sports science for the athletes across disciplines.”
