Fast bowler Jayden Seales delivered an exceptional performance on Day 2 of the second Test, leading the West Indies to a commanding position against Bangladesh. His brilliant spell, where he took four wickets while conceding only five runs in nearly 16 overs, played a crucial role.
Seales’ Spectacular Bowling Performance
Seales bowled 10 maiden overs, showcasing excellent accuracy and control, as he dismantled Bangladesh’s batting order.
Resuming on 69-2 after a rain-hit first day, Bangladesh crumbled to 164 all out in 71.5 overs.
Notably, Seales dismissed Litton Das, Jaker Ali, and Shadman Islam in quick succession, ending their hopes of a significant recovery.

Other bowlers also contributed significantly, with Shamar Joseph claiming three wickets, including the key dismissal of Shahadat Hossain, who had built a 73-run partnership with opener Shadman Islam.
Islam’s composed 64 was the highest score for Bangladesh, but it wasn’t enough to post a competitive total.
West Indies Take Control
In reply, West Indies reached 70-1 at stumps, trailing by just 94 runs. Captain Kraigg Brathwaite led from the front with an unbeaten 33, while Keacy Carty supported with 19 not out.
The only setback for the hosts came when Mikyle Louis was caught behind off Nahid Rana’s delivery.
Earlier in the day, Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz added a resilient 36, supported by Taijul Islam’s 16, as the visitors scraped together crucial runs.
However, poor light interrupted play again, ending an eventful day early.
The match now tilts in West Indies’ favor, with their batters looking to build a solid lead on Day 3.
