In the dramatic turn of events during the 18th over, Sunil Narine delivered a deceptive off-break to Jaydev Unadkat of SRH. Unadkat, attempting to drive, found himself deceived by the sharp turn, only to be struck on the pad and narrowly miss dislodging the off-stump. Amidst the confusion, KKR’s keeper, Gurbaz, initiated celebrations prematurely, but the umpire remained unmoved. Sensing an opportunity, KKR’s skipper Shreyas opted for a review for LBW, revealing the ball’s trajectory towards the leg stump on ball-tracking.
The tension escalated as KKR questioned the failure of the bails to fall despite the ball striking the stumps. After careful examination, the third umpire intervened, prompting a reversal of the decision. Eventually, the on-field umpire upheld the LBW decision, granting KKR the much-awaited breakthrough in a sequence of events filled with suspense and anticipation.
KKR Bowling Magic In Final:
Since the start of tournament, KKR has shown their bowling excellence in every match. Today in the final, they did the same thing. They started taking wickets of Sunrisers Hyderabad players since the first over. They didn’t even concede a single run easily. They totally snatched the match from Hyderabad’s end. Every bowler of KKR got the wicket. KKR bowler Andre Russell got 3 wickets, Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana got two wickets each, and Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Sunil Narine got one wicket each. It’s a nightmare final for SRH, but can they do an unexpected turnaround, that time will say.
