On Tuesday, August 27, Jemimah Rodrigues delivered a match-winning performance that guided Trinbago Knight Riders Women (TKRW) to the final of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) 2024. 

In a do-or-die encounter against Barbados Royals Women (BRW), Rodrigues’ unbeaten 59 off 50 balls became the cornerstone of TKRW’s thrilling four-wicket victory. 

Chasing 131, the right-handed batter played a composed yet aggressive knock, hitting four boundaries while anchoring the innings as wickets tumbled around her.

Jemimah Rodrigues, born on 5 September 2000, is an Indian cricketer. She is an all-rounder who plays for the Indian women’s national cricket team and the Mumbai women’s cricket team. 

Jemimah has also represented Maharashtra’s Under-17 field hockey team. reached her maiden half-century in the 19th over with a beautifully chipped shot over extra cover, sending the ball racing to the boundary.

Her innings, which included ten boundaries, laid a solid foundation for the Royals, who posted 130/7 in their 20 overs. 

Athapaththu’s all-round skills were on display as she also chipped in with two wickets during TKRW’s chase.
