Jeremiah Louis Joined St Kitts and Nevis Patriots Team:

Jeremiah Louis joining the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots means he and his younger brother Mikyle could potentially play together in the CPL for the first time. While Mikyle made his T20 and CPL debut this season, Jeremiah is no stranger to the tournament, having previously featured in six CPL matches between 2016 and 2022. During that time, he claimed three wickets, with an average of 38.66 and an economy rate of 9.66, adding valuable experience to the squad.

Jeremiah Louis has also played for the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 6IXTY competition, where he made a notable impact. In the 2022 edition, he took four wickets across five matches, maintaining an economy rate of 10.68. His performances in the 6IXTY further showcase his ability to contribute in various formats, adding depth to his team’s bowling attack.

Jeremiah Louis is primarily recognized for his red-ball expertise, having taken 151 wickets in 57 first-class matches at an impressive average of 25.43. His consistent performances earned him a spot in the West Indies Test squad for their England tour, although an injury ultimately sidelined him from the series. His proficiency in the longer format continues to make him a valuable asset to his team.

Mikyle Louis Talked About His Brother Jeremiah:

Mikyle Louis has quickly risen as one of the most promising local batters in his debut CPL season, amassing 187 runs in five innings with an impressive average of 37.40 and a strike rate of 155.83. Among Patriots players, only Evin Lewis (191) and Kyle Mayers (204) have outscored him this season. Mikyle describes Jeremiah not only as a brother but also as a mentor and close friend.

He said, “ He influenced me in many ways. While I was in my stagnant phase, he was playing for Leeward Islands or West Indies A or President’s XI games. He would come back and have a conversation, saying, ‘Yo, I bowled to this batsman in the nets. You are not far off, you continue working. Trust me, bro, based on skill you have time to grow.’ Those conversations would give me hope and the self-belief that, okay, I’m good enough.”

Jeremiah Louis’ inclusion strengthens the Patriots’ struggling local pace attack, which has faced challenges this season. Dominic Drakes, Odean Smith, Ryan John, and Johann Layne have all conceded over 12 runs per over. Currently, the Patriots sit at the bottom of the CPL 2024 points table with only one win in seven games. Following a last-place finish in CPL 2023, the team has managed just two victories across the past two seasons, highlighting their ongoing difficulties.
