Jonathan Trott coaching Tenure Extended
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has extended Jonathan Trott’s coaching contract. Trott will lead Afghanistan’s men’s team until the end of 2025. The extension follows a remarkable 2024 for Afghanistan. The team had a maiden appearance in World T20 Cup 2024 semi-final. Trott’s leadership has been praised for elevating the team to new heights.
Afghanistan’s next big challenge will be the ODI series against Zimbabwe. However, Due to personal reasons, Trott will not be in charge of the other formats. Hamis Hassan will step in as head coach with Nawroz Mangal. Nawroz will serve as the assistant coach.
