Day 3 of the second Test between Bangladesh and the West Indies saw a moment that left the spectators bewildered. West Indian pacer Justin Greaves produced an extraordinary off-break delivery to dismiss Bangladesh’s in-form batter, Litton Das.
It was a delivery that imitated an off-spinner. Greaves bowled a slower ball that turned sharply from outside off-stump. The ball sneaked through the bat-pad gap and then sent the stumps cartwheeling. For Litton, who was cruising at 25 off 34 balls, it was a dismissal that came out of nowhere.
Greaves Magic Stuns Liton Das
Greaves is essentially a pace bowler, but he played an outright trick in the 34th over. In the fifth ball, he came with a slower one which tricked everyone including Litton Das. The ball was pitching far outside the off-stump and then spun back in sharply leaving the batter well and truly stranded in defence.
When the stumps lit up, Litton looked shocked, and the crowd erupted. It was a dismissal that turned heads and swung momentum back to the West Indies.

Bangladesh On Top On Day 3
Despite the brilliance of Greaves’ delivery, the day belonged to Bangladesh, who continued to fight hard in a low-scoring match. After dismissing the West Indies for a meagre 146 in their first innings, Bangladesh themselves were also bowled out for 164, keeping the game in the balance.
Young pacer Nahid Rana emerged as Bangladesh’s star with the ball. He took figures of 5 for 61 to give Bangladesh a commanding position in the Test.
By stumps on Day 3, Bangladesh stood at 193/5, with a lead of 211 runs. With two days left to play, the Tigers hold the edge but will need to consolidate their advantage to secure a win.
West Indies would be hoping to bounce back on the Fourth Day of the Test and keep Bangladesh’s lead inside 250.
