Justin Langer Elated For Zaheer Khan to Join The LSG Family as Mentor

Justin Langer, the head coach of the Lucknow Super Giants, was thrilled to have Zaheer Khan on board. The renowned fast bowler has become a mentor for the Indian Premier League (IPL) team. Zaheer received a personal greeting from Langer welcoming him to the LSG family after his appointment. In a recent social media video released by the Lucknow-based franchise, Langer was heard calling Zaheer “a warrior.”

“A wonderful addition to the LSG family and team. What a warrior Zaheer Khan was. As a player, I used to really admire him. He’s always been an opponent I admire. He has always had a fierce sense of competition. Just the kind of mindset we’re looking for at LSG,” Justin Langer stated in his video message. One of the best fast bowlers India has ever produced is Zaheer Khan. 

He played a crucial role in the Indian squad’s 2011 home-grown victory at the ODI World Cup. Langer states that under Zaheer’s guidance, the young pacers in the LSG team could see significant improvement. “Another quality that we have at LSG is that Zaheer is a very humble individual. It makes us happy to have him. The former Australian coach continued, “We’re excited to see him work with our fast bowlers and help us construct a highly competitive side to help us win the IPL next year.”

Langer wished for Zaheer to have a “huge impact” on the LSG team before concluding. “I’m quite excited to see Zaheer Khan. I’m excited to see him dressed in our colors. I am eager to resume my involvement,” declared the 53-year-old.
