Who is Kareena’s favourite in Indian National Cricket team
In a recent interview Kareena Kapoor told that it is not Mahendra Singh Dhoni or Sachin Tendulkar but her favourite is the Team India captain. According to her, Kohli is already next to Tendulkar. “I love the way Virat plays. He is my favourite. Isn’t he already the next Sachin Tendulkar? After all, he’s the reason why we are winning so many matches in succession,” Kareena was quoted as saying to an entertainment website.
Kareena Kapoor Khan is a leading actress in Bollywood. The daughter of Randhir and Babita Kapoor has recently completed 20 years in Bollywood. She started her journey in the Indian film industry with the film Refugee where she starred opposite to Abhishek Bachchan, son of Amitabh Bachchan. Coming from a hardcore filmy family, Kareena is not new to cricket as her father-in-law was former Indian captain Late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Even her husband Saif Ali Khan is known for his love of cricket. He was also seen in India’s World Cup match in the UK last year. No wonder Kareena wants their son Taimur to be a cricketer like Pataudi.
Kohli vs Tendulkar
While it is still early to compare Kohli and Tendulkar, Kohli has shown enough calibre to be compared to the Master Blaster. He has already scored 43 ODI tons which is second to Tendulkar’s 49 hundred in the format. Even if this decade is considered, the Indian skipper is the highest ODI run-scorer.
Kohli is often compared to Steve Smith from Australia for the top position in the Test cricket. But when it comes to ODI, Kohli is everyone’s favourite, well almost!
