KKR Captain Nitish Rana Excited To Embark On a New Journey With Mentor Gautam Gambhir! 

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has finally parted ways with Lucknow SuperGiants following an end to his two year tenure after working with head coach Any Flower. Now, he has been appointed as the new mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders after several speculations. This newly designated mentorship is way special for Gautam Gambhir as he has returned to his ‘home’ finally. 

Ahead of Gautam Gambhir’s appointment as the new mentor for KKR, stand-in captain Nitish Rana expressed pleasure and excitement to start a new journey with him as the team’s mentor. He took to his Twitter handle to say that he is thrilled to embark on a new journey and that he has to learn a lot from his mentor, Gautam Gambhir.

Nitish Rana, who led KKR brilliantly in the absence of Shreyas Iyer, was applauded by the fans. Ahead of the IPL season 2024, he is excited to work with one of the leading captains of KKR i.e Gautam Gambhir. “As a kid watching cricket, I never imagined I’d one day share the field and wear the same colours as my idol, @GautamGambhir bhai. Now, having him as our mentor at @KKRiders is nothing short of a dream. His leadership led to glory, and I can’t wait to learn and grow under his guidance. He is literally one of the most influential captains for the team so far having led KKR to victory in 2012 and 2014. Bollywood actor and co-owner of the KKR franchise also welcomed Gautam upon returning to the side. Gambhir himself took to his social media handle announcing his homecoming by posting a picture in which he has donned the KKR jersey.
