According to a report in Cricbuzz, KL Rahul has been disqualified from the IPL, which is a huge blow to LSG. Rahul was hurt while playing for LSG against RCB. Kl Rahul is reportedly going to miss the upcoming WTC final matchup with Australia. Rahul traveled to Mumbai for scans, and the BCCI has taken up the issue.

“The results of the scans will determine Rahul’s participation in the World Test Championship (WTC) final in London early next month. The National Cricket Academy (NCA) team, which monitors his treatment, has not informed the concerned, including the team management as of Thursday night but those who know the situation are not exactly optimistic. In all probability, Rahul will be out of the WTC final too,” read a report in Cricbuzz.
Since neither the BCCI nor LSG have made an official statement about Rahul’s injury, there are numerous rumors about its nature and extent. There are rumors going around that Rahul may have a hip or hamstring problem.
LSG has not yet determined whether they require a replacement for KL Rahul. The team is being led by Krunal Pandya while Rahul is away. Ishan Kishan may succeed Rahul if he is unable to compete in the WTC final, according to the report. The BCCI is awaiting a detailed update on Jaydev Unadkat’s injury as there is currently little clarity around it.
