Jadeja and Rahul face setbacks with injuries, as per BCCI’s statement. Jadeja injured his hamstring during the fourth-day run, while Rahul reported right quadriceps pain after the opening Test. Consequently, both players will miss the second Test with the BCCI medical team overseeing their recovery. In response, the selection committee, headed by Ajit Agarkar, has included Washington Sundar, Sarfaraz Khan, and Saurabh Kumar in the squad. The focus now shifts to the newcomers as India navigates the challenge posed by the absence of these key players in the upcoming Test.
Wait Continues for Jadeja and Rahul’s Eye on Comeback:
Virat Kohli is not playing the first two Tests due to some family reasons. Rajat Patidar replaced him in the team. Kohli’s absence is a huge blow for the team.
