After completing more than a decade playing for India, Virat Kohli became the unbeaten king of world cricket. Recently after the magnificent unbeaten century against Pakistan in the current edition of Asia Cup. he was in another form in the clash against Pakistan. Pakistani bowlers were just helpless in front of Kohli’s bat. That day King was on fire smashing almost every ball. The single strategy of the opponents didn’t work out in front of Virat. While talking about this giant knock, former Indian wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Kartick compares Virat Kohli with Novak Djokovic.
In the world, comparison comes naturally. Even in the sports world people always compare one player to another. Previously Sachin Tendulkar was compared with that time’s sports greates. Now Virat Kohli is dominating the world of cricket. So comparison is coming all the way. Recently Dinesh Kartick compared Kohli with tennis great Djokovic. This week, tennis star Novak Djokovic created history by winning the most number of Grand Slam titles. He won the US Open and at the same time, Kohli completed 13000 runs in his ODI career.
Djokovic’s Legacy:
Novak Djokovic has been dominating the tennis world for many years. He has become the player to win the most number of Grand Slam titles. He won 24 titles out of 72 grand slams that he played. By winning it he becomes the oldest player to win the US Open. With this win, he is back at number one rank.
Virat’s Legacy:
Virat is just being unstoppable in this Asia Cup. He has completed 13,000 runs in his ODI career. In the India vs. Pakistan match he scored an unbeaten century of 122 runs. Along with that, he smashed the 47th ODI century of his career. After reaching 50 he reached 100 just in 29 balls. He was awarded as man of the match.
While expressing Virat’s greatness, Dinesh Kartick said,” Kohli’s career is comparable to Djokovic. When he started his career, Federer and Nadal were flying- they reached a point when no men in the open era could reach what they had done but Djokovic came and achieved more than them in numbers. Similarly, Kohli changed dynamics and broke records, hats off to Virat Kohli.”
