Josh Hazlewood 7/1(2)
OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! No review needed for this one. Australia have an early strike. It almost looked like an action replay of all the balls bowled by Hazlewood to Salt in this innings, barring that one edgy shot which went for a boundary. As mentioned earlier, this machine with a 100-year warranty does not care who is batting and how is the batting. Just keeps honing on a good length, just outside off. This one nips back in as well and as always, Salt tries to force it through the line. Gets cramped for room once more and this time, nicks it to Alex Carey, the keeper. Salt departs for 12 (14), England are 26/1 and need another 245 from 276 balls.

More frustration for Hazlewood. He lands this on a length just outside off, nipping back in, PS looks to punch but misses again.

.
That is a beauty. Full, outside off, Phil looks to push but is beaten by the lack of pace and some late away movement.

On a good length, outside off, punched to the off side.

FOUR! Fortuitous. A length ball, outside off, Salt comes down the track, looking to alter Hazlewood's length. As always, the machine wth a 100-year warranty does not swerve from his length or line and gets it on a good length just outside off. Generates extra bounce as well which cramps Salt for room as he goes hard at it. The outside edge is generated but it is wide of slip and to the left of deep third.

On a good length, outside off, perhaps a slower ball. Phil Salt looked to defend but the ball seemed to lift again, taking him by surprise. Tried to take his hand off the willow but got late. Gets beaten.

Full and on the pads, BD misses his tuck and is hit on the pads. End of a 9-ball and 11-run over.

A short ball, outside off, Ben pulls it wide of mid on. Travis Head dives to his left and parries it away, allowing the batters to double the single. 249 more needed from 283 balls.

WIDE. Third of the over. Another one down the leg side and Duckett cannot connect with his flick.

Gets it right this time, does Starc and as soon as he does, causes problems. Full and just outside off, Ben Duckett looks to drive it back down the ground but is beaten by the late movement.

WIDE AGAIN. Overcorrection from Starc. He tries to go away from the leg stump, goes away from the off instead. And too far outside off. BD thinks about going after it but lets it be.

WIDE. Starc struggling with his line now, slips this down the leg side. Ben cannot connect with his flick.

FOUR! Excellent from Duckett. There is no swing on this occasion and Starc gets too straight. Very full again and Ben Duckett just thumps it through mid-wicket, with a strong bottom-hand punch.
