The Rangpur Riders faced a setback when a no-ball allowed Mayers to continue after his dismissal was overturned, significantly impacting the game. Initially, Tamim Iqbal and Najmul Hossain Shanto provided a solid start, but both were dismissed by Kamrul Islam in the 11th over. Towhid Hridoy struggled to build on his start, scoring 23, while Mahmudullah managed only 2 runs. Kamrul Islam took two wickets but had an expensive outing with 47 runs in 3 overs.
As the pressure mounted, Nurul Hasan stepped up in a spectacular fashion, scoring 32 off just 7 balls, a remarkable feat at the end taking Kyle Mayers to the cleaners! Fortune Barishal were good with the ball and they thought they had the game but Nurul Hasan had other plans.
