UPDATE - 7:08 pm IST (1:38 pm GMT) - The umpires are out in the park doing their inspection. We will have another update at 7:30 pm IST. 

UPDATE - 6:53 pm IST (1:23 pm GMT) - The Toss is delayed with the outfield being under covers. We've had some rain an hour back but it has stopped now and the covers are slowly coming off. We remain optimistic about getting some action tonight. Stay tuned for the updates. 

On the flip side, the Manipal Tigers are fifth in the table with a loss and two abandoned games. In their only completed game against the Konark Suryas Odisha, their bowlers did a commendable job to keep the opposition at 104 with Obus Pienaar and Anureet Singh among the wickets. The Tigers, however, failed to chase down the score as the batting collapsed and they lost by 2 runs. Harbhajan Singh-led side will hope for a turnaround and get their first win of the season. The Southern Super Stars are sitting pretty at the top with three wins from as many games. In their previous game against the Gujarat Greats, their bowlers kept the opposition to just 123 runs while quick 40s from Shreevats Goswami and Hamilton Masakadza ensured that the Super Stars got home inside 15 overs with 8 wickets in hand. They will hope to keep the winning momentum and make it four out of four.  

Hello and welcome to our coverage of Match 11 in the Legends League Cricket, 2024. The Southern Super Stars are taking on the Manipal Tigers at the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat. Unfortunately, the Surat leg of the season has not been able to witness any game due to persistent rain, and four games have already been abandoned. Let’s hope the fans in the city get to witness their heroes for one last time this year before the caravan moves to Jammu.

Match number 11 of the Legends League Cricket, 2024 sees a clash between defending champions Manipal Tigers and Southern Super Stars at the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat. Thus far, the Surat leg of the competition has been a no-show given the amount of rain that has fallen in the area and with some more inclement weather on the horizon, we would need some sort of a miracle for this game to happen. However, the rain has been away for a bit and if the same thing remains true on matchday, we might finally get a game in for the first time in Surat. The Tigers have now been a part of three matches and have just a couple of points to show for it because of the abandoned games. The match that they did play was the opening match of the season against Konark Suryas Odisha in Jodhpur and they narrowly lost that one by 2 runs. On the flip side, Southern Super Stars played 3 matches in the Jodhpur leg of the competition and managed to win all three of those games which puts them in pole position and given that all other teams have already lost some ground in this leg, the Super Stars are in a great position to make the playoffs.
