UPDATE - 10.06 am GMT - The covers are still firmly on and almost the whole ground is covered. It is still raining in Kandy but there are a few blue spots in the sky which gives us hope that we can see some action soon. Stick with us for more news.
Oh..no! The drizzle has picked up pace and the umpires have given the marching orders to the players now. It has gone dark pretty quickly but the rain is still not that heavy and we are hoping that it is just a passing shower. Stay tuned for further updates.
