... THE RUN CHASE ...
The South African bowling attack had a subpar performance, lacking discipline and conceding 16 extras. However, debutant Dayyaan Galiem was a notable exception, impressing with a couple of wickets at an economy rate under 6. Ottneil Baartman also chipped in with two wickets, while George Linde picked up one scalp. Despite these individual efforts, the hosts' bowling unit as a whole struggled to contain the Pakistani batters, ultimately allowing them to post a formidable total of 206. The pitch offers a lot to the pacers but the batters will love the ball coming to the bat as well. Can Pakistan defend this and level the series or will the hosts chase this down? We will find that out with the chase in a while.
Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan's decision to bat first has paid off, with his team posting an impressive 206 runs at the end of 20 overs. Despite losing Rizwan early, Babar Azam and Saim Ayub took charge, displaying aggressive intent and propelling the innings forward. Although Pakistan suffered a flurry of wickets, Saim Ayub remained unfazed, continuing to score freely. Irfan Khan chipped in with a valuable cameo of 30, providing crucial support to Ayub. The star of the show was undoubtedly Saim Ayub, who top-scored with a brilliant 98 not out, narrowly missing out on a century. His outstanding innings has set Pakistan up for a strong finish.

FOUR! Pitched up around off, Abbas Afridi swings and gets an outside edge flying over short third for a boundary. Saim Ayub is starved os strike in the entire final over and he barring any extra will stay on the other end not out on 98.

Bumper, around off, Abbas Afridi swings and misses. Saim Ayub misses a chance to get back on strike as he doesn't go for the run.

SIX! First ball and this has been hammered away for six. Pitched up around middle and off, Abbas Afridi lofts this up and over the long off fence for a huge six. An absolute smasher first up from Abbas Afridi. 200 comes up for Pakistan.
Abbas Afridi walks out next.
OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! Aims for the yorker, misses it not by much, flicks it straight to Rassie van der Dussen at wide long on for a straight-forward catch.

Tossed up on the pads, Irfan Khan tucks this away towards fine leg for one.

FOUR! Fuller on the pads, Irfan Khan flicks this and finds the fence this time to the right of the deep square fielder for a boundary.

SIX! Irfan finds the middle of his bat this time. Fuller on the pads, Irfan Khan slogs this up and over the deep mid-wicket region for a massive hit for six runs. Irfan Khan is capable of exactly this and this is why promoting Shaheen Afridi ahead of him in the first game raised eyebrows.

DROPPED! Saim has been dropped again. Full toss and leg, Saim Ayub slogs this towards long on and takes one. This should've been an easy take for the fielder.

Full and wide on off, Saim Ayub hammers this towards wide long off and calls for two straightaway. A poor throw allows the batters to take two comfortably.
