SA W VS IND W MATCH 10

Match 10, Dubai, October 01, 2024, 07:30 PM

South Africa Women
India Women

Win Projections to be updated soon
The last day of warm-up fixtures is here, and in one of the three matches scheduled, India will face South Africa at the ICC Academy in Dubai. Both teams will be eager for a win to build momentum heading into the main event. South Africa, in particular, are looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat against New Zealand in their first warm-up game. They struggled against spin and were bowled out for just 92 runs, with seven wickets falling to spin. Marizanne Kapp did not feature in that match, but players like Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits, and Sune Luus will be keen to deliver improved performances, especially against spin, which they are likely to encounter frequently during the tournament. On the bowling front, defending 93 runs was a challenging task, so if they win the toss against India, they may opt to bowl first to allow bowlers like Ayabonga Khaka, Nonkululeko Mlaba, Marizanne Kapp, and Chloe Tryon to get some overs under their belt. As for India, in their game against West Indies, after a shaky start, Jemimah Rodrigues' fifty kept them afloat and then a collective effort helped them close out the game. The top three of Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur could not have any sort of impact and will be eager to enter the tournament with a significant score under their belt. On the bowling front, the new ball pairing of Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka Singh Thakur excelled but a worrying factor was Shreyanka Patil and Radha Yadav going for plenty in their overs. Deepti Sharma and Asha Sobhana were tidy and the likes of Patil and Yadav would want to get that confidence back in them with an improved showing. Who are you backing to come out on top?
