New Zealand will feel they're at least 30 runs short of what could have been a competitive total. They'll need early wickets now if they are to put pressure on the hosts. Sri Lanka on the other hand, will back themselves to chase this down.
After losing 4 wickets for b low 100, Chapman and Hay batted brilliantly and revived the New Zealand innings. When they were batting, 250 looked possible. However, Fernando in the 37th over managed to get Chapman and Bracewell and from then on, the lower order crumbled too.
A really good performance with the ball by Sri Lanka! They really made the Kiwis work hard for their runs and also managed to take timely wickets. It was the spinners who did the good job at the start. Wallalage, Theekshana and Vandersay really were good in the first phase of the innings. It was Asitha Fernando though who actually bowled the over which took his side right on top.

Maheesh Theekshana 31/3(9.1)
OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Maheesh Theekshana wraps things up and Mitchell Hay has been dismissed on 49. Flatter, full and around off, Hay goes down for the reverse sweep but misses as the ball passes very close to the bat and his gloves. There is a huge appeal by the Lankans and they look confident as there is a small noise. However, the umpire says no. Charith Asalanka takes the review, UtraEdge shows a spike when the ball is close to the gloves and the on-field call is overturned. To be fair, even before the decision came on the big screen, Hay started to walk back, and only the umpire was on the field to raise his finger. New Zealand have been bowled out for 209!

FOUR! Just short! Asitha Fernando bangs it in the pitch and on middle, Jacob Duffy goes for the pull but gets a top edge. The ball goes in the air towards fine leg where Maheesh Theekshana runs forward for the catch but this one bounces well in front of him and then goes over his slide for another boundary. Sloppy again from the Lankans.

MISFIELD AND FOUR! That brings up the 200 for New Zealand as well! A low full toss, on middle, Mitchell Hay drills it down the ground and wide of long on. Jeffrey Vandersay runs to his left, bends down to collect it but the ball bounces just in front of him, hits his hands and goes away for a boundary.

Fuller in length and just around leg, Mitchell Hay goes down across to scoop it away but fails to connect. It is not called a wide. However, it looks like Hay is suffering from a bit of cramps and the physio is in to check on him.
