Man of the Match
Alice Capsey
Commentry
That is it from this game then! Another game follows, the men will be in action. That game will begin shortly. Till then, goodbye and take care!
Alice Capsey the PLAYER OF THE MATCH says they knew they just needed a partnership and they got it between her and Kapp. Adds she wants to do the best on the pitch and she tries to stay a lot calmer. Mentions she has been working hard in the nets and it has paid off.
Can't really blame the Welsh bowlers, on this wicket, they just did not have enough on the board. Saying that, they could have fielded a lot better and had they taken the opportunities, things could have been different. They were just not up for this game, first with the bat and then with the ball.
A very convincing win for the visitors! 118 wa never going to be a challenge for their strong batting lineu- but they did lose a wicket early. Alice Capsey along with Paige Scholfield counter-attacked and released all the pressure. Paige Scholfield fell but Alice Capsey continued. She did ride her luck here and there but in the end she scored a fine half ton and took her side to the brink of victory before she was dismissed. Laura Harris did not last for long in the middle too but Marizanne Kapp and Mady Villiers ensured there were no more wickets to fall and took their side over the line.
