That's it from this game and the series. Shahidi gets the cup and he now celebrates with his side. A well-deserved victory for the visitors. It the first game was dull, this was extremely exciting. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, goodbye and take care!
Hashmatullah Shahidi starts by congratulating the team and he's very pleased with the performance. Credits Rahmat Shah for the way he batted and he feels it was one of his best innings. Also adds Alam has been very good in domestic cricket and he's pleased he did well here. Also says this series has been a good learning curve and they have the talent and are improving with each and every game. Ends by saying they'll now start preparing for the Champions Trophy.
Craig Ervine says they couldn't capitalize at the crucial moments. Mentions Afghanistan played really well. States the bowling was excellent in the first innings but they could have done better with the bat and got a bigger lead. Credits Alam and Shah for the way they batted and Rashid for the way he bowled. Says there are a lot of positives and he's looking forward for the cricket which is to come.
Rahmat Shah is given the PLAYER OF THE SERIES AWARD!
Rashid Khan, MAN OF THE MATCH, says he's very happy with the performance. Adds the batters in the second innings got them back into the game and it was a total team effort. Credits Alam and Shah for the way they batted and it was a great effort by the two. Mentions it is all about keeping it simple and adjusting to the conditions. Also adds it is about keeping the basics right.
Zimbabwe had batters who got off to starts. Raza and Ervine batted really well and at one stage, they were in with a serious chance but it was the Rashid show. He single handedly won the game for his side with a brilliant seven fer and this win also means his side clinch the series.
Afghanistan then were rocked early and were 4 down even before they got to 100. The ever reliable Rahmat Shah and Alam stepped up for the visitors. They both scored tons and took their side over 350 and set Afghanistan a target of over 275.
In reply, they managed to get a lead above 80 despite being 6 for 119 at one stage. It was Raza, Williams and Ervine yet again for the hosts who batted brilliantly. Two of them scored half tons and that helped Zimbabwe get a decent lead.
This Test though has swung from one way to another. First it was the hosts who were on top after they bowled out Afghanistan for just the 157. It was a combined effort from their bowlers and that put them right on top.
It is Afghanistan who get over the line! They were red hot favourites needing just two wickets at the start of the day and they have got it quickly. It was a run out to begin and then it was the star, Rashid Khan who got the last one. He was the highlight with the ball with a seven wicket haul.
