The cricket world just witnessed another historic Test match as Bangladesh whitewashed Pakistan in a two-match Test series. While batting in the first innings, Bangladesh faced some early setbacks. But Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz bounced back. Litton Das scored an amazing century and played a knock of 138 runs in 228 balls. On the flip side, Mehidy Hasan played a knock of 78 runs.
Even in the second innings, the Bangladeshi bowlers dominated again. Hasan Mahmud secured an impressive 5-wicket haul. Nahid Rana secured a 4-wicket haul. With that brilliance, they stopped Pakistan in 172 runs. The target was not difficult and Bangladesh achieved it easily. Along with this win, they whitewashed Pakistan for the very first match.

This series followed the recent student protests in Bangladesh, which led to the ousting of their government and widespread violence, resulting in many deaths. After winning the Player of the Series Award, the all-rounder dedicated the honor to the student protesters. This heartfelt gesture has resonated deeply with many people and is winning admiration.
While talking about this, he said, “You know there have been problems in Bangladesh – I dedicate this award to the student protestors who were martyred. A rickshaw-puller was hurt in the violence, and eventually died. I want to gift this award to his family.”
Bangladesh’s next assignment is crucial. They are all set to face India in a two-match Test series. After defeating Pakistan by a 2-0 margin, Bangladesh is all boosted up. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma and Co is all set to give them tough competition.
