Melbourne Renegades Seek Netherlands Skipper Scott Edwards as Urgent Replacement in BBL Crunch

But in 2024, a new beginning is waiting for the Netherlands skipper. He is on his way to join BBL for Melbourne Renegades for the next two matches. That is an interesting milestone in his career.

Australia’s T20 league Big Bash League is going on with full glory. The Netherlands skipper Scott Edwards is set to play the league for Melbourne Renegades as the replacement for Joe Clarke.

The Netherlands skipper is currently in South Africa on a training tour. The team is scheduled to play five matches before the start of the tournament. But the BBL joining for the skipper happened in the mid-way. Scott Edwards also holds Australian citizenship. He will be available for the final two matches of Melbourne Renegades. 

Scott Edwards as the Replacement:

Quinton de Kock was a part of Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League. Now the South African wicketkeeper-batter will fly back to his country to take part in SA20. He will depart after the clash against Hobart Hurricanes. The franchise didn’t have a local wicketkeeper. They opted for the Netherlands batter.
