The incident occurred during the pivotal Match 11 between Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans, sparking widespread controversy. Amir, representing Quetta Gladiators, disclosed that his family members were abruptly ejected from their seats by security personnel, reportedly acting on orders from the Deputy Commissioner.
Expressing his dismay on Twitter, Mohammad Amir condemned the incident, citing it as ‘unacceptable behavior’ and a misuse of power that caused distress to his family. He called upon Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to address the issue promptly and ensure accountability for those involved.

He wrote, “ Shocked by the unacceptable behavior of the Deputy Commissioner of Multan, who reportedly mistreated my family, arrogantly claiming ownership of the ground & unjustly ejecting them during a match. This abuse of power is intolerable! Urging authorities for immediate action.”
