Mohammed Siraj’s Hilarious English Interview Mishap Revealed

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has given cricket fans a reason to laugh as he shared a funny story from India‘s T20 World Cup triumph earlier this year. The anecdote, shared by all-rounder Axar Patel on the popular comedy show The Great Indian Kapil Show, involved Siraj’s struggle with an English interview after India’s thrilling seven-run victory against South Africa in the final.

Siraj’s Funny Confession

Axar Patel shared Siraj’s hilarious reaction to the situation during the show. According to Axar, Siraj said, “Arre DK bhai ne mera English mein interview le liya.

Sabko English aati hai, hum dono ko hi kyu pakda?” (Dinesh Karthik took our interview in English; everyone else knows English, so why did he catch only us?).

The audience and the show’s host, Kapil Sharma, burst into laughter upon hearing the story.

The Interview That Ended in Laughter

Axar continued the story by saying that while he managed to give the interview, Siraj couldn’t finish his.

Siraj hilariously told his teammates that he had run out of English words mid-interview, saying, “Meri jitni English thi, khatam ho gayi” (I used up all the English I knew).

The candidness of Siraj and the lighthearted moment made the fans laugh as they watched their favorite cricketers share this funny backstage incident.

Axar revealed that, while the team was celebrating their T20 World Cup win, Siraj was left worried after Dinesh Karthik, now a commentator, chose to interview him and Axar in English.

Siraj, known more for his bowling than his language skills, found himself in an amusing situation as he had to answer questions in a language he wasn’t very comfortable with.

Accompanying Axar on the show were India captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, and Shivam Dube, who also enjoyed the humorous exchange.
