There is a reason why MS Dhoni is known as the coolest person in the cricketing fraternity. He doesn’t get flustered by any situation and maintains his calm demeanor. Where most of the modern day cricketers opt for tattoos and funky hairstyles, the wicketkeeper keeps things simple.
He is not only calm on the cricket field but also off it. A recent example occurred when he was seen lying on the floor of the Chennai airport. After winning the first ODI against Australia, the Indian team left for Kolkata early on Monday morning. The boys reached the Chennai airport well before time and they had plenty of time to burn while waiting for the flight.
While other players were busy on their gadgets, MS Dhoni took the opportunity to relax a bit. Not caring about his stardom, he decided to lie on the floor while the others sat near him. BCCI’s Twitter handle posted a couple of images where the coolness of the 36-year-old was on show.
Not the first time
It wasn’t the first occasion where Dhoni was caught napping. In the last tour to Sri Lanka, during the 3rd ODI in Pallekele, the Indian team was cruising towards victory as just 8 runs were required to win with Dhoni and Rohit Sharma at the crease.
The poor performance of the home side did not go well with the fans in the stands as they hurled bottles inside the ground. The game was halted for a long time and players from both sides gathered in the middle. Dhoni was unflustered and decided to take a nap. He laid down on the ground and napped for a long time.
Twitter was quick to react to Dhoni getting caught napping on the Chennai airport
