According to the recently released IPL schedule, the five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians will start their campaign with a match against Delhi Capitals. The match will be hosted by the Brabourne Stadium at 3.30 pm on March 27. It is the first double-headers of the 12 double-headers as the second match of the will be played between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at 7.30 pm. The double-headers will see the games to be played at 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm across the season.
This year the Indian Premier League will be held across four venues in Mumbai and Pune. “In all, 20 matches each will be held at Wankhede Stadium & DY Patil Stadium, 15 matches each at Brabourne and MCA International stadium, Pune.” The BCCI release also added, “A total number of 70 league matches and 4 Playoff games will be played in the duration of 65 days.” But the schedule for playoffs will be released later.
