Naman Dhir is a top-order batter and a right-arm off-break bowler from Ambala, Haryana. Born on December 31, 1999, he is 24 years old.
Dhir is known for his contributions as a batting allrounder, having recently won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with Punjab in the 2023-24 season.
Though he played a minor role in the title win, his performance in the Sher-E-Punjab local T20 tournament caught the attention of Mumbai Indians.Â
In this tournament, Dhir was the second-highest run-scorer with 466 runs at a strike rate close to 193.

Mumbai Indians secured him using the Right to Match (RTM) card after Rajasthan Royals placed an initial bid of INR 3.25 crore.Â

The auction also witnessed intense bidding wars for other uncapped players. Ashutosh Sharma, an aggressive batter, went for INR 3.80 crore to Delhi Capitals.
 Meanwhile, Mahipal Lomror was bought by Gujarat Titans for INR 1.70 crore.Â
