In an interview with Star Sports, Nathan Lyon expressed his eagerness to face top-tier competition in the upcoming India-Australia series. Taking about Ravichandran Ashwin, Lyon said, “  know Ashwin, and we debuted around similar times, and we have competed against each other in a number of series now, and between me and Ashwin, I have got nothing but respect for him. I feel like I love watching him bowl, he is an absolute master in the craft of off-spin bowling, and it has been an absolute privilege to play against him and learn from him. Pretty exciting, it is obviously a massive summer for us out here, so we cannot wait to have the Indian guys out here.”

In his 27 Test matches against India, Nathan Lyon has claimed 121 wickets, maintaining an average of 31.56. His standout performance includes a career-best bowling figure of 8/50. Lyon has also achieved nine five-wicket hauls and two ten-wicket hauls in Tests, showcasing his consistent ability to make a significant impact on the game.

Most Awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy Starts on November:

The Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia will kick off on November 22 with the opening Test at Perth. Following that, the second Test from December 6 to 10 will feature a thrilling day-night match at Adelaide Oval, played under the stadium’s lights. The action then moves to The Gabba in Brisbane for the third Test, scheduled for December 14 to 18. 

The traditional Boxing Day Test, set for December 26 to 30 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, will be the penultimate fixture of the series. Finally, the series will reach its dramatic conclusion with the fifth Test at Sydney Cricket Ground, running from January 3 to 7, promising an exciting finish to the contest.
