The Indian men’s cricket team has made the fans proud with their unbeatable winning streak in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. India’s batsmen have left no stone unturned to prove their worth. One such batter is Suryakumar Yadav. Ravichandran Ashwin lauds Suryakumar Yadav’s performance as the latter plays in the T20 World Cup 2024.
India and South Africa are scheduled to face off on 29 June 2024. The final match of the tournament will be held in the Kensington Oval, Barbados and fans from both sides are excited to see their teams perform. A victory for the men in blue would bring them their first ICC trophy since the last time they won one in 2013, while South Africa has reached the finals for the first time in any ICC World Cup.

Spin bowling legend Ravichandran Ashwin praised Suryakumar Yadav, saying he is performing ‘extraordinarily well’ in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. The Men in Blue will face South Africa in the final match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday.
SKY is the sixth greatest run scorer in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. He scored 196 runs in seven matches, with a strike rate of 137.06. Speaking on his own YouTube channel, Ashwin described Suryakumar as one of the world’s best T20 batsmen. The India spinner also stated that Suryakumar demonstrated his purpose in the number four batting order.
“Suryakumar Yadav is one of the finest T20 batters in the world. He is playing extraordinarily well. But, as usual, our people have been saying about knockout performances and big teams. But, he has put it to bed. The high-quality player that he is, he has shown it with his intent in No. 4,” Ashwin said.
Ashwin’s take on head coach Rahul Dravid
Ashwin also shared his opinions on team India’s head coach and ex-player Rahul Dravid. Ashwin said that Rahul, nicknamed as Mr. dependable, has put in a lot of effort to change the team’s approach.
“I know what Rahul Dravid has been doing with this team for the past 2-3 years. I know how balanced he has been. I know how hard he has worked to change this approach. I know what he has given each of his players. Even when he is just sitting at home, he has been planning how to do this and that,” he added.
India and South Africa are to fight for the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy this evening. While India will look forward to their first ICC trophy after 2013, South Africa will get their first ever ICC World Cup win in any format if they defeat India.
