Orange Cap Holder of IPL 2020: Updated After DC vs KXIP Match 2

Mayank Agarwal impressed everyone with his stint against Delhi Capitals in the second IPL 2020 match. He carried the entire innings on his own and almost won the match for the side. It was him who kept the hopes of the Capitals alive till the end. In the course, he went on to top the Orange Cap table surpassing Ambati Rayudu.

After KL Rahul’s dismissal in the fifth over on their innings, the entire Delhi Capitals middle-order started following the skipper. Three major middle-order batsmen could add just two to the total and made the chase impossible for the Capitals at a stage. But Mayank Agarwal kept his fight on. As a lone warrior, he was focused on his mission. He hardly got any partner except for two useful cameos at the end of Sarfaraz Khan (12 off 12) and Krishnappa Gowtham (20 off 14). Agarwal scored 89 off 60 balls before being dismissed Marcus Stoinis in the last over of the innings when the score was tied. He is now leading the Orange Cap table as the highest run-scorer of the tournament so far.
