Pat Cummins has praised Nitish Kumar Reddy’s versatility and fearless approach. Nitish’s impressive batting including his powerful ramp shots, pulls, and drives, has earned accolades from the Australian skipper.
“I’ve seen a fair bit of Nitish Kumar Reddy in the IPL. He ‘s a really good player, quite adaptable. He’s played some awesome ramp shots, pulli shots and drives, said Pat Cummins.
Both the star players are part of the same IPL franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the 2025 IPL auction, SRH has retained both the players. Cummins retained at the price of INR 18 crore and Reddy retained at the price of INR 6 crore have added depth in SRH ‘s bowling and batting units.

All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has impressed with his performances in the ongoing Test series against Australia. He has contributed crucial runs, scoring 41, 42 and 42 when India struggled with low totals of 150, 180 and 175.
In a dominant batting display, when India posted 487/6, Nitish remained unbeaten on 38 runs off just 27 balls. His remarkable consistency has resulted in 163 runs at an impressive average of 54.33.
Reddy’s power-hitting stood out, with six sixes smashed against Australia’s fast bowlers. Two maximums each were struck off Pat Cummins and Scott Boland, while one each came against Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Marsh.
This fest made him Indian batter to hit sixes sixes against pacers in Test cricket in Australia. Previously, no other India player has hit more than three sixes under similar conditions.Nitish also smashed against Marnus Labuschangne during the Perth Test.
