Kane Williamson recently praised Joe Root said he has been something else, find out what he has to say on the fab four debate.
What Kane Williamson said About Fab Four Debate?
When Williamson addressed the media on Saturday prior to the special Test match against Afghanistan in Greater Noida, it was clear that he was a fan of Joe Root, one of the Fab Four. While praising Root for his recent century-scoring run, the former captain of New Zealand stated he doesn’t pay attention to these parallels.
“Joe Root has just been something else for a period of time, and obviously a lot of the discussion around what he might be able to achieve in a number of years and just incredible that conversation can even be had. So yeah, he is phenomenal and obviously a big fan of his and have enjoyed watching not just his, but obviously those other guys that you mentioned. Amazing players that have all sort of moved the game forward in a big way,” Williamson said on Saturday.
Williamson Is Back In India Almost After 3 Years
Williamson expressed his anticipation for the next one-off Test match against Afghanistan to acclimate to the subcontinent’s conditions as New Zealand played Test cricket for the first time since March.
In three months, New Zealand will play six Test matches in the subcontinent. Following the one-off Test match against Afghanistan, New Zealand will play two Tests in Sri Lanka from September 16–30. After that, from October 16 to November 5, the BlackCaps will travel back to India to play a three-test series against the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team.
“I mean, we are absolutely going to be challenged in a number of ways. But, the opportunity to have a block here for us as a team to look have the sort of experiences that we are going to have for the next sort of two-and-a-half months and be better for it. It’s an exciting opportunity. Nice to be here, preparing for the first Test. We are looking to take those small steps and try to get familiar with those conditions,” he said.
