PUBG Esports Announces 2025 Season with Major Global Tournaments

PUBG Esports has revealed its 2025 competitive season, set to feature six global tournaments that will include the PUBG Global Series (PGS), PUBG Nations Cup (PNC), and the PUBG Global Championship (PGC). The announcement from game publisher KRAFTON marks the continuation of PUBG’s strong esports presence, which saw great success in 2024.

Continuation of PUBG Nations Cup

The PUBG Nations Cup (PNC), after a successful run in 2024 with over 500,000 peak viewers, is set to return in 2025. 

This international competition, where national teams compete for glory, has quickly become one of the most popular events in PUBG esports. 

South Korea emerged victorious in 2024, and the anticipation is high for next year’s tournament as teams prepare to showcase their talents on the global stage.

Global Partner Team Programme

KRAFTON also shared updates on the Global Partner Team Programme, which currently includes 10 elite esports organisations. 

Notably, CERBERUS Esports and Daytrade Gaming joined the programme in 2024, and KRAFTON has confirmed that the number of partner teams will remain at 10 for 2025. 

However, all organisations will undergo an evaluation process, with new applicants having the opportunity to join the programme for the upcoming season.

Applications open on December 1st, 2024, with selections finalised by February 2025. Partner teams will benefit from guaranteed participation in most of the PUBG global events, including the PUBG Global Series.

The 2024 season is set to conclude with three major events: PGS 5, PGS 6, and the PUBG Global Championship. 

The championship event, taking place in Kuala Lumpur, will feature a $1.5 million prize pool and bring together the best teams from around the world.

eSports, once humble arcade competitions, have become a booming global industry with millions of viewers and major investments.

Streaming platforms like Twitch, combined with advancements in mobile technology, have fueled this growth.
